(15 January 2008) HOTPOT CULTURE…A PLACE WHERE TWO MEALS ARE NEVER THE SAME
Marina Square’s Newest Restaurant Heats Things Up with Buffet Lunches and Culturally Integrated Hotpot Dinners SINGAPORE, 10 JANUARY 2008 – Starting 15 January 2008, Hotpot Culture, a new hotpot restaurant, will be opened at 6 Raffles Boulevard, #02-138D, Marina Square. Diners can look forward to enjoying buffet lunches and culturally integrated hotpot dinners in one place. For lunch, local favourites such as Curry Chicken and Pig's Trotters will be set out in a buffet for diners to choose from. The dinner menu however aims to fulfil the restaurant’s slogan of ‘One Pot, Many Cultures’. Basic broths include Hot & Spicy Broth (aka Thai Tom Yum), Kim Chee Broth & Herbal Broth. Ala Carte dishes of mainly Asian Cuisine will also be available to accompany the hotpot. To round off the meal, diners get a pick from several Dessert Delights such as Chocolate Fondue served in a hotpot The team behind Hotpot Culture Restaurant is also the same one that first introduced The Rajah Inn Restaurant at Golden Mile Complex along Beach Road over 20 years ago. Known for its Indonesian inspired cuisine, The Rajah Inn Restaurant initially catered to tourists from countries like Japan, Korea and Indonesia. After realising the potential of local walk-ins, The Rajah Inn Restaurant broke into the market with its brand of Indonesian style steamboat. Today, The Rajah Inn has become a household name in the Tiong Bahru Estate since moving into Tiong Bahru Plaza about four years ago. A restaurant that prides itself on its reasonably priced porridge lunch buffets and mini steamboats, The Rajah Inn was featured in MediaCorp 8’s ‘SMART 省钱王!’ on 12 April last year. The Straits Times also did a short article on the restaurant on 25 October 2004. According to Benjamin Seow, Managing Director of Hotpot Culture Restaurants Pte Ltd, “People frequently mistake The Rajah Inn for an Indian cuisine restaurant. By choosing ‘Hotpot Culture’ as the name of our new restaurant, we hope to reach out to more diners with our ‘One Pot, Many Cultures’ concept. Diners can also look forward to enjoying lunch and dinner without being restricted to a single type of cuisine.” Benjamin Seow added, “Having been in the F&B business for over 20 years, we’re definitely no new kid on the block so diners can be assured of our dedication to serving delicious but affordable meals.” About Hotpot Culture Restaurants Pte Ltd: ![]() |
